In my lifetime, I have had very good teachers and terrible ones. I believe that what sets yourself apart as a good teacher or tutor is how you interact with your students. My job as an anatomy and physiology tutor is to get my students excited about the subject and encourage them to explore the topics. My personal theory on tutoring is that it must be a two-way street, between tutor and pupil. Without proper communication, the system will fail. My style of tutoring includes getting to know a person's specific learning needs and creating a custom lesson plan. I use multiple teaching methods, including games, pneumonic devices, and more to help keep pupils interested in the material. I want my students to understand the material I teach, not just memorize it. I am a firm believer in using periodic testing and progress reports to monitor the progress. When students take anatomy and physiology, it is usually because they are going into a field that requires extensive knowledge in it; this is the reason it is so important for them to retain the information long-term. Teaching is something that I am very passionate about, although my full-time job is being a chiropractor. As a chiropractor, I have to educate my patients about their bodies so they can take proper care of themselves. I am hoping to use my knowledge and skills to help you reach your academic goals.
